Feeding the Hungry in Central Florida
Rotary’s “Million Meals” food insecurity relief initiative is helping feed the hungry through collaboration with local food banks and faith-based organizations
The “Million Meals” challenge continues as our Rotary Clubs organize and find solutions to feed the hungry through actions of Service Above Self.
Through the organization and encouragement at a District-level to the engagement and collaboration of Central Florida’s Rotary Clubs, we are finding ways to provide food insecurity relief for families finding it difficult to put a meal on the table. The need is real and while most people cannot envision others going through their day without a good meal, it does not mean that it is not happening. However, Rotarians are working hard through a combination of food drives, donations, and food-packing events—and we will once again produce 1,000,000 meals for individuals and families who need it most.
