Global Collaboration
Rotary gives you the opportunity of exchanging ideas and cultural benefits with Fellow Rotarians from all over the world
Rotary is a global service organization with more than 35,000 Rotary Clubs spread over 160+ countries around the world, promoting interaction and project collaboration worldwide.
There are many ways to get involved in Rotary and some of them involve interacting, collaborating and learning from Fellow Rotarians from other countries. Also, it is customary for Rotarians to make every attempt to visit a Rotary Club while traveling outside of their local area, which gives them an opportunity to visit a Club during their vacation or business travels.
Here are some examples of global collaboration by getting involved in Rotary Global Programs or Service Projects:
- Attending the annual Rotary International Convention, which rotates around a different global location every year
- As a Visiting Rotarian when traveling aborad
- When a Rotary Club does a Joint Global Project
- Volunteering as a ShelterBox Ambassador (a Rotary Global Project Partner)
Starting in January 2021, the annual Rotary’s International Assembly is relocating from San Diego, CA to Orlando for a duration of five years. This week-long event is a great honor for Central Florida, which will receive District Governor Nominees from 530 Rotary Districts from around the globe.
