Rotarian Coaches are available to help fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors seeking to prepare for a new career or those who want to change career direction
How to get started
Below we have listed three coaching categories, each of which addresses a specific engagement type. Coaches volunteer their time, knowledge and resources in a coaching engagement that lasts approximately four (4) weeks. If you are interested in being paired with a coach, please review each of their bios below and visit their LinkedIn profiles, then request to be paired with one of them using the online form below.
Coordinating Coaches
Coordinating coaches contribute with a wide range of expertise and experiences, working one-on-one with the transitioning Rotarian. This coach serves as main point of contact, meeting together at least on a weekly basis to provide a mentor relationship. Connecting coaches coordinate with other coaches for specific areas of assistance, sharing common areas of subject material review with other and coordinating coaches, as well as promoting accountability and ownership.
- Gay Ratcliff-SeamensExperienced Communication Strategist with Over Four Decades of Experience
Gay has held a variety of leadership positions throughout her life and has mentored many individuals, particularly as CEO of a Speech and Hearing Center. She has managed 35 professional staff, a board of 30 individuals, multiple budgets, an Industrial mobile Unit, and was Principle of a preschool. Gay’s skill sets include being able to lead people in a positive way, being able to use her communication skills in many settings, raising money for causesand public relations, and being able to see the “big picture” in business situations. She believes she can help individuals evaluate their skill sets, help them focus on those skills and seek employment. Gay can also coach them on communicating during an interview and how to utilize their skills on the job.

- Greg GorskiExperience in Operations in the Retail Supermarket Industry at both the corporate level and private ownership
Retired Supermarket Retailer with 25 years of experience in operations with Hannaford Bros. Company in New England, along with an additional 10 years as a private Grocery Store owner in New Hampshire. Core competencies include managing and leading a team, building a culture of respect and trust, delivering operational excellence, enhancing the customer experience, build top-line sales, and manage the bottom line. Greg offers insight on how to succeed at the corporate level or at the start-up entrepreneurial level.

Retail specialist experience with Bloomingdales and Walt Disney World, Formosa Developer’s Retail buyer of domestic and imported merchandise with 25+ years in shopping center leasing and property management. Past Chair of Experience Kissimmee, Board Member of the Osceola/ Kissimmee Chamber of Commerce. Served for 3 years as a Board Member of the West 192 Redevelopment Authority CRA. Mary Ellen has contacts in Tourism and Commercial Real Estate.

Preparatory Coaches
Preparatory coaches contribute with expertise in transition functional areas, helping Rotarians prepare for job searches and transitions. These coaches assist in transitioning by assessing personal goals and objectives, supporting the preparation of resumes, providing guidance for interviewing techniques, and developing self-marketing techniques.

Connecting Coaches
Connecting coaches contribute as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with specific expertise in career areas and connecting people in a variety of competencies and career fields. These coaches offer a direct connection to other individuals and companies where a Rotarian may find additional resources and career opportunities.

As an experienced strategic planner, organizational health and leadership consultant, Don works with businesses to develop strategic goals that lead to sustainable growth and profits through responsible and effective strategies.

Andres is an industrial/B2B marketing agency owner working primarily with Engineering, Construction/Development and Manufacturing clients. His core competencies include Marketing Strategy, Content Development, Corporate Communications, and Public Relations with experience in the Construction, Homebuilding, Resort Development, Real Estate and Power Engineering industries. Andres has contacts across a broad range of specialties and markets—both on a local and global scale—and am an active contributor to the Central Florida business community.

You must be an active Rotarian in District 6980 (Central Florida) to benefit from the Rotary Works Coaching Program in our region.
